Born in India in 1976, Mr. Umesh Rathod obtained his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University of Mumbai in 1997. He became a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India in 2001.

He started his working career with The New India Assurance Company Limited, Mumbai India in1997. He has extensive working experience and held key positions in Operations and Marketing apart from Reinsurance. Due to his great work ethics, he was posted to The New India Assurance Company in Trinidad and Tobago from 2012 to 2016.

Prior to his posting as the Managing Director of Prestige Assurance Plc, Lagos, Nigeria in 2025, he was the Regional Manager at The New India Assurance Co. Ltd at Mumbai Regional Office..
